A Celebration of Life for Gill Conquest

When?

We will be celebrating Gill's life on 12th-13th May 2018. We hope that friends and family from all parts of Gill will be able to come together to remember her and her life. We will be setting up on the 11th May and would welcome some people to help with this, but the main event will be 12th-13th May, with accommodation available overnight.

What?

We are still finalising the details of the event. You can find more details about what's planned on our activities page.

There's still time to add your own event to the list. Do you have something that reminds you of Gill, or something that she enjoyed that you would want to do as a group? There is a variety of indoor and outdoor space so please get in touch with us and suggest something.

Who?

We'd love for anyone who knew Gill and wants to come to be there. Children are welcome, although some of the later events will inevitably become more alcoholic and explosive.

Where?

The event will take place at Broadstone Warren Scout Camp near East Grinsted in Sussex. Accommodation is available on-site in shared bunk-rooms, and camping also possible, and booking is open now. There are also inexpensive hotels in East Grinstead around ten minutes drive away

Why?

By the time of the event, it will be more than a year since Gill passed away. Whilst we're all still so very sad about it, we thought it was important to remember her mostly in happiness, and not in sadness as is inevitable immediately after a bereavement.

We're still finalising events and times, but booking is available now. We will have to charge to cover the costs of the booking, the accommodation, food and drink. Having said that, if cost is likely to stop you attending, we'd rather you were there than not.

We don't want to make a profit, but if we do we'll donate any profits to the two charities that were supported previously, Macmillan and Shine Cancer Support.
