Packing List

Some people have been asking for a kit list of things you should bring next weekend, so here it is:

  • Bedding: If you are staying in the dorms, please note that bedding is not provided, so you will need to bring a sleeping bag and your own pillow (or resort to the old 'squish jumper in a pillowcase' ploy). If you are camping, I assume you know you will need a sleeping bag etc.

  • Wash kit: There are showers, so if you would like to have a shower then please bring towel, shampoo and soap. You may also want to bring toothbrush and toothpaste, sunscreen, makeup etc.

  • Clothes: You will probably need clothes. What you will need will depend on what you're planning to do in the way of activities.
    • You might want to bring something warm to wear around the campfire.
    • For those joining in the wide games, or doing archery, bring comfortable clothes you can run around in or shoot arrows in, and sturdy shoes.
    • We will be having a silent disco, so if you want to dress up for that you are welcome
    • We will also be putting on a performance of Back To The Future: The Pantomime, so if you would like to dress up in 1955/1985/2015 style clothes you would be more than welcome.
    • Please note that it may be muddy outside. Also it is a very good idea to bring one pair of shoes for wearing outside, and one for wearing inside the halls.

  • Decorating: If you have some fairy lights, orange cloth, or other colourful decorating material which you think might be suitable for pinning up, then please let us know.
  • Memorial space: We will have a room which is a memorial space, please do bring along any physical pictures you would like to add to the space. You are also welcome to bring artwork, poems, articles, writing etc inspired by Gill and her work. If you want these back at the end of the weekend, you can take them when we do the tidy up, but to be doubly sure please also label them with your name and email address.

Timetable

Here's a timetable for the activities - it will be posted up in several places in the venue, along with a map.
